Trigonometric Ratios in a Right-Angled Triangle

Learners will be able to:

• Identify two possible but equal sine ratios for angle A in right-angle triangles ACD and ABC. • Determine the cosine of angle B using different right-angle triangles (BDE, BCD, and ABC). • Calculate the sine ratio for angle A in triangle ACD as CD over AC. • Explain that the sine ratio for angle A is the same in both triangles ACD and ABC. • Identify the correct trigonometric ratios for cosine of angle B in each of the three right-angle triangles.
