Calculating Unknown Lengths Using Trig

Learners will be able to:

• Identify when to use the cosine ratio in a right-angled triangle problem. • Calculate the length of an unknown hypotenuse using the cosine ratio. • Solve for the unknown side by manipulating the equation and isolating the variable. • Apply the alternative method of finding the remaining angle first and then using the sine ratio. • Interpret that both methods will yield the same solution.
