Properties of a Rectangle

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the properties of a rectangle that are inherited from a parallelogram. • Describe the relationship between opposite sides in a rectangle. • Explain how the diagonals of a rectangle bisect each other and the quadrilateral into two equal areas. • Calculate the measure of an angle in a rectangle. • Sketch a diagram to show that the diagonals of a rectangle are equal in length.
