Sketching the Exponential using a Calculator

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the equation of an exponential function in the form y = a(4^x), where a is a constant. • Use a calculator's table mode to generate coordinates for plotting the graph of an exponential function. • Plot points on a coordinate plane using the generated coordinates and join them to sketch the exponential curve. • Determine whether the exponential curve is increasing or decreasing based on the values in the table. • Sketch an exponential curve that does not touch the x-axis, given a set of coordinates.
