Plotting the Tan Curve using a Calculator

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the equation for the tangent function on their calculator. • Plot points using table mode on their calculator to create a table of coordinates. • Recognize and plot vertical asymptotes on the Cartesian plane. • Determine the period of the tangent function in degrees. • Sketch the graph of y = tan(x) by linking plotted points, including vertical asymptotes.
