Plotting the Cosine Curve using a Calculator
Learners will be able to:
• Identify the equation of the cosine function in the form Y = cos(X). • Plot points on a Cartesian plane using table mode on a calculator. • Determine the starting and end values for plotting trigonometric functions from negative 360 to positive 360 degrees. • Calculate X-values for the cosine curve with steps between X-values of 90 degrees. • Sketch the cosine curve by linking plotted points, noting its period and symmetry about the Y-axis.
