Measures of Central Tendency for Ungrouped Data

Learners will be able to:

• Calculate the median height of a set of data items when there is an even number of items. • Identify and calculate the median height of a subset of data items (e.g. the 12 tallest buildings). • Explain that the median of an odd number of data items is always an actual data item. • Determine the modal value in a bimodal set of data items. • Calculate the modal number of floors when there are multiple values with the same highest frequency.
