Imperial Distances and Lengths into Metric System

Learners will be able to:

- Identify the two measurement systems used in imperial system: miles, yards, feet, inches and their equivalents in metric system. - Convert miles to kilometers by multiplying the number of miles by 1.61. - Apply the rule that what is done on one side of an equation must also be done on the other side when converting between units. - Multiply a given distance in imperial units by a conversion factor to obtain its equivalent in metric units. - Divide a given distance in metric units by a conversion factor to obtain its equivalent in imperial units.
