National Road Maps & Distance Charts

Learners will be able to:

- Identify the characteristics of a national road map, including the use of blue color for main roads and the presence of an 'N' in front of road names. - Explain how national roads link major cities together. - Describe the naming convention for national roads, with numbers from 1 to 14. - Determine which national road links two given cities or towns using a map. - Identify multiple national roads that pass through or meet at a specific location on a map. - Calculate the distance between two cities or towns using a distance chart. - Apply a distance chart to find distances in both directions (e.g. from city A to city B and from city B to city A). - Compare and determine the shorter route between two destinations using a combination of maps and distance charts.
