In this live Grade 12 Life Sciences show we take a close look at the Nervous System. We look at the structure and functions of the three types of neurons. We discuss the location and functions of the cerebrum, hypothalamus, cerebellum & medulla oblongata. We discuss the structure and function of the spinal cord. We look at the difference between a reflex action and a reflex arc as well as look at the structure and functioning of a simple reflex arc. Finally, we consider the significance of a reflex arc.
