Trigonometric Identities Question 1
Learners will be able to:
• Prove that the fraction 1 plus sin theta divided by cos theta is equal to cos theta divided by 1 minus sin theta. • Simplify an expression by multiplying it by a form of 1, such as cos theta over cos theta. • Rewrite cos squared theta using the identity cos squared theta plus sin squared theta equals 1. • Factorise 1 minus sin squared theta into (1 - sin theta)(1 + sin theta) using the difference of two squares method.
