Compound & Double Angle Identities

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the side of an equation that requires greater algebraic manipulation when proving identities. • Express all terms in a given expression in terms of sine and cosine using quotient identities. • Find the lowest common denominator (LCD) and simplify expressions by reducing numerators using identities. • Apply compound or double angle formulae to simplify expressions containing compound angles. • Simplify expressions involving fractions by finding the LCD and cancelling common factors.
