Theorem of Pythagoras Question 1

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the hypotenuse in a right-angled triangle as the side opposite the 90-degree angle. • Apply Pythagoras' theorem to find the length of any side in a right-angled triangle, given the lengths of the other two sides. • Calculate the square of the length of one side using the formula a^2 = b^2 + c^2. • Solve for the length of the hypotenuse by taking the square root of both sides after calculating the sum of the squares of the shorter sides. • Rearrange the Pythagoras' theorem formula to solve for either b or c, given the lengths of the other two sides.
