• Identify the three main types of organic reactions: addition, substitution, and elimination. • Describe how alkanes can be synthesised from alkenes through an addition reaction. • Explain how alcohols are formed from halogenated alkanes through a substitution reaction. • Outline the process for reverting back to alkenes from alcohols through an elimination reaction. • Define and provide examples of combustion reactions that provide energy.
