Learners will be able to:
• Identify the three laws of motion as described by Newton. • Explain how an object continues in a state of rest or uniform velocity unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (Newton's first law). • Calculate the acceleration of an object using the formula F net = M × A, where F net is directly proportional to the mass and inversely proportional to the acceleration. • Describe how the magnitude of force affects the acceleration of an object, including the effect of doubling the mass on acceleration. • Apply Newton's third law to explain that when two objects interact, they apply forces to each other with equal magnitude but opposite direction.
