• Calculate the kinetic energy of an object using the equation KE = ½ mv². • Explain why the velocity squared term in the kinetic energy equation always results in a positive value, even if the velocity is negative. • Describe how work is calculated as the product of force and displacement. • Identify examples where energy may be transferred or transformed from one form to another, according to the law of conservation of energy. • Apply the concept of conservation of energy to understand that the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant.
