Learners will be able to:
• Identify the different types of systems (open, closed, isolated) and describe their characteristics. • Explain why the total amount of momentum remains the same in a closed system due to internal forces cancelling out. • Apply the principle of conservation of linear momentum to an isolated system. • Calculate the combined momentum of two objects before a collision using the formula p = m × v. • Solve for the final velocity of two objects after a collision, given their masses and initial velocities.
