Learners will be able to:

• Calculate the average power output of an object using the formula P = w / t. • Determine the minimum power exerted by a weightlifter lifting a barbell above their head, given the force applied and displacement. • Compare the power output of a human to that of a horse in watts or horsepower. • Use the formula P = F × v to calculate the driving force of an engine when the average velocity of an object is constant. • Calculate the power developed by a person running upstairs using their mass, height climbed, and time taken.
