Learners will be able to:

• Describe the concept of rate in molecular reactions and its measurement. • Explain that the units of the rate of reaction are dependent on what is being measured. • Identify four factors that affect the rate of a reaction: concentration, temperature, surface area, and catalyst. • Interpret graphs showing the relationship between volume or moles and time to determine the rate of reaction. • Calculate the average rate of reaction from a graph using the gradient.
