• Identify the components of the Doppler equation and their respective roles in determining the frequency experienced by a listener. • Explain how the velocity of the source, listener, and wave affect the frequency experienced by the listener. • Apply the correct signs when using the Doppler equation for a moving source or listener. • Calculate the new frequency experienced by a listener when the source is approaching at a given velocity. • Determine whether the frequency will increase or decrease based on the relative motion of the source and listener.
