Learners will be able to:
• Describe the pH scale and its range from below 0 to just above 14. • Explain why pH equals 7 is considered the neutral point on the pH scale. • Identify the colour changes of methyl orange, phenolphthalein, and litmus in acidic and basic solutions. • Calculate the pH value using the formula pH = -log[H+] for strong acids and bases only. • Interpret a pH curve graph to determine the approximate pH at neutralization.
