Learners will be able to:
• Describe Lenz's law and its application in electromagnetic induction. • Identify the direction of induced current in a coil when the north pole of a magnet is pushed into it. • Explain how the changing flux in a coil induces an EMF and current, according to Lenz's law. • Sketch the magnetic field created by the induced current in a coil when a magnet is being pulled out. • Apply Lenz's law to predict the effect on a metal ring when current flows inside a coil wrapped around its iron core.
