• Identify the key difference between galvanic and electrolytic cells in terms of spontaneity. • Explain how energy is supplied in an electrolytic cell. • Describe the process of reduction and oxidation reactions in an electrolytic cell, using copper bromide as an example. • Apply the concept of standard electrode potential to predict the products of an electrolytic reaction, using aluminium iodide as an example. • Interpret the table of standard electrode potential to determine which ions are strong oxidizing or reducing agents.
