• Explain flexibility as a physical property of a material and describe examples of flexible and inflexible materials • Explain why certain objects (e.g. roofs, spades, eggshells, paper clips, tyres) need to be flexible or inflexible depending on their function • Describe how strength, flexibility and durability combine to make plastic a versatile but environmentally persistent material
