Learners will be able to:

• Explain and demonstrate filtration as a method for separating very fine solid particles from a liquid (e.g. soil and water, coffee, tea, pool water, air filters) • Explain how magnetism can be used to separate magnetic metals (e.g. iron, nickel) from non-magnetic metals (e.g. aluminium) in a mixture
