Why Do We Classify Things?

• Explain why classification is useful, using everyday examples (e.g. sorting sweets or shop items) to demonstrate how items can be classified according to different shared characteristics • Relate the principle of classification to how scientists group elements according to their properties (e.g. reactivity with water)
