• Describe an investigation to demonstrate the conduction of heat energy along a metal rod • Interpret a graph showing the relationship between temperature and distance from a heat source • Compare the conductivity of different metals, such as copper and iron • Explain everyday phenomena, such as tiles feeling colder than carpet, in terms of conduction • Draw conclusions from experimental observations about how materials conduct heat energy
