Learners will be able to:

• Define insulation and an insulator in their own words, using correct scientific terminology. • Distinguish between true and false statements about insulation, heat transfer and thermal conductivity. • Identify the independent variable, dependent variable and controlled variables in an investigation comparing four different insulating materials. • Draw and interpret a bar graph of temperature data to identify the best and poorest insulating materials. • Draw conclusions from investigation data and relate the results back to a stated hypothesis.
