• Recall and evaluate true/false statements about electricity generation and supply (turbines and generators, greenhouse gases, geyser insulation, hydro power, transmission lines) • Define key terms relating to the national electricity grid, including conduction, convection, generator and output, and match each term to its correct definition • Identify coal as the fossil fuel used in electricity generation in South Africa • Identify appropriate variables and units for a bar graph from a data table of appliance energy use • Draw a labelled bar graph, with correctly scaled and labelled axes, to display and compare the energy used by different kitchen appliances • Interpret a bar graph to compare the energy usage of different household appliances
